POSITION: Electronics Product Development Engineering

Flow Technology is searching for a dynamic, self motivated Electronics Product Development Engineer responsible for product development, analysis, design, documentation, and introduction into Sustaining Engineering of new products and drive product innovation through the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Survey market to determine needs for FTI
• Be able to effectively communication with customers
• Design and document products in a cost conscious manner
• Be able to use knowledge from fields such as power distribution, motion control, instrumentation, digital and analog circuits and process control
• Serve as Project Manager to direct teams for purpose of work distribution to meet project timelines
• Ability to understand applicable approval specifications and design products to meet those specifications
• Understand manufacturing processes and ensure design conformance
• Coordinate transferring the design knowledge to Sustaining Engineering for product implementation into manufacturing
• Interface with other facets of the organization to ensure effective cooperation and optimal productivity
• Other duties may be assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree (BSEE) /equivalent combination of education and experience
• 5 years related instrumentation experience
• Experience with Altium Designer, schematic capture and PCB layout, CANbus, ModBUS, TCP/IP,Microcontroller embedded experience preferred (Microchip PIC and/or Atmel AVR)
• Experience with designing for CE noise immunity and hazardous area approvals (Explosion Proof and Intrinsically Safe)
